i am a alcoholic
that's right the 1994 CITY TO SURF winner has drinking problem....over the last 5years i have been drinking to ease the pain on my self and the pain i caused my close friends....i am fighting a losing battle at the moment...i have been accepted in the 2011 CITY TO SURF..and i have challenged my self to a top 20 result for 2011...really i don't think it will happen,but i really need this ..wish me luck

Hi Paul, you don't know me but you won the first fun run I ever entered and the sheer joy of watching so much talent inspired me to carry on.
The bottle is a hard mistress who brings more pain than comfort and I hope you can leave her behind eventually.
As plu says, train well and get to the starting line. Let us know how you're going from time to time. I wish I could help more.
